The Varmint 10 Meter amplifier XL-600 is a linear amplifier with a 200-watt carrier, a 700-watt peak power swing, and a sweet spot of 2.5 to 3 watts of input carrier power. It's a high-power amplifier and doesn't like a lot of input carrier power. 
Carrier Power: Around 200 watts
Peak Power: Over 700 watts in a forward swing
Input Power: 2.5 to 3 watts is the ideal range
Note: This is a high-power amplifier and can be damaged by too much input power. It's recommended to use only 2.5 to 3 watts of input power from a radio.
