Our Background
Bland Radio was founded by a 27-year U.S. Army communications veteran whose career included three combat tours and service as an Electronic Warfare Officer in Baghdad, Iraq. After retiring from the military in 2010, he continued serving the community in the commercial two-way radio industry. Now retired from tower work, he has returned to his original passion—supporting the radio hobby community. He holds an Extra Class Amateur Radio License and brings decades of real‑world RF and communications experience to every project.
Our website, BlandRadio.com, went live in November 2025, and both our product line and online experience are improving every day. Our physical shop features four installation bays on the upper level and an additional install bay in the basement. The office and primary product area are located on the basement level, surrounded on all sides—walls and ceiling—by 10 inches of concrete. This provides a secure, controlled environment for our communications center and test benches.
Bland Radio is an authorized dealer for President and Stryker, offering a full line of radios and accessories from both brands. We have also added RM Italy as our premier line of amateur radio amplifiers, expanding our offerings for serious operators who demand reliable, high‑performance equipment.
We are known nationwide for our high‑power coaxial cable solutions. Bland Radio stocks Andrew Heliax (hardline) in sizes from 1/2 inch up to 1 5/8 inch in diameter. We cut custom lengths, install the connectors, and ship directly to your door, providing turnkey feedline solutions for high‑power and demanding installations.
Our technical workbench is equipped with professional‑grade Marconi, Dynascan, and HP test equipment, allowing us to properly align, diagnose, and repair modern and legacy gear. As our repair business has grown, we’ve added trusted offsite technicians to help ensure repairs are completed accurately and returned to customers as quickly as possible.
