About the Galaxy DX-959

The Galaxy DX-959 is one of the most popular AM/SSB mobile CB radios ever made. With full 40-channel coverage, single sideband capability, and a large backlit LCD display, it has been a favorite among truckers, hobbyists, and serious CB operators for decades. The DX-959 delivers strong, clean audio on both AM and SSB, making it as capable for long-haul highway use as it is for base-station style conversations.

This unit has been through a thorough bench service at Bland Radio. The carrier oscillator was corrected, SSB carrier and bias were aligned to spec, AM modulation circuitry was restored to full performance, and all controls and metering were serviced. It left the bench with clean AM and SSB modulation and a proper carrier alignment — ready to go back on the road or onto a desk.
